Abstract

Purpose: Faculty members as one of the basic elements of production and transfer of knowledge play an important role in promoting the scientific status of the university and the community. This study aims to determine the level of information literacy and its components in PNU faculty members of Mazandaran province (Iran).
Methodology: This study is a descriptive survey and the study population is faculty members of PNU- Mazandaran province. Using a convenience sampling method, Designed questionnaire provided all faculty members (144 persons), and finally, 85 questionnaires were received. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics (frequency, frequency percentage) were used.
Findings: The results showed that in total the Information Literacy among faculty members of PNU is 75/4%.
Conclusion: These findings indicate a relatively good information literacy among faculty members of PNU of Mazandaran province.
