Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explain the views of graduate students of the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Allameh Tabataba'i University on the effect of green information literacy on environmental protection.
Methodology:  The present study is an applied research that was conducted using a descriptive-survey method with a quantitative approach. The statistical population of this study is 910 people, which according to Morgan and Krejcie table, the sample size is 270 people. Data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire and finally the collected data were analyzed with SPSS software.
Findings: In the present study, by evaluating green information literacy in four sections of environmental knowledge, environmental motivation, environmental behavior or performance, attitude towards environmental protection, the findings showed that the impact of green information literacy on all four sections The average (3.80) is above the average level and the assessment of green information literacy in four sections from the perspective of the research community with p value <0.05 is of great importance and has an important impact.
Conclusion: According to the obtained results, from the point of view of master's students of the Faculty of Psycholo and Educational Sciences of Allameh Tabatabai University, green information literacy has a high impact on preserving the environment.
