Abstract
Purpose: This study examines the status of knowledge management and cybernetics in Public Libraries Foundation to study the impact of cybernetics, which includes six main dimensions of diversity and constraints, entropy and information, the need to diversify and rulemaking control, feedback and distinctions and relationships, on knowledge management that includes four main processes of knowledge creation, conversion and transfer of knowledge, preserve and maintain of knowledge and application of knowledge in the public libraries Foundation.
Methodology: The current research is of descriptive analytical type and has dealt with using the descriptive-survey method. The population of the research is the staff of the Public Libraries and information was collected from the 38-item questionnaire (19 questions related to cybernetics and 19 questions related to knowledge management). Data were analyzed using one sample T-test and Pearson. Also, a conceptual model was presented to evaluate the effect of cybernetics on knowledge management. To evaluate the effect of the relationship between the variables, PLS-SEM was used.
Findings: Cybernetic dimensions and knowledge management (in addition to the two cases in the dimensions of diversity and limitation and the necessity of diversity and decision rule) are not in a good position in the institution of public libraries. The findings also showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between knowledge management and cybernetic dimensions.
Conclusion: public libraries Foundation can use research findings to successfully implement knowledge management with respect to cybernetic dimensions
