Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this Research can be used as the head of parents, teachers and librarians in teaching leadership information literacy to Kangavar students.
Method: The present research method was of applied type that was implemented by survey method. The statistical population of this study included all high school students in Kangavar, the total number of whom was reported to be 1475, and using Cochran's formula, 305 people were selected as a sample by appropriate stratified random sampling method. Ghasemi et al. (2007) standardized information literacy questionnaire was used to collect data. The reliability of this questionnaire was obtained through Cronbach's alpha of 0.934. In order to analyze the data, first, using descriptive statistics, a table of frequency distribution of demographic variables and central indices and distribution of research variables was obtained. The Clemogrov-Smirnov test was then used to test the normality of the data distribution. Then, in order to answer the research questions, the non-parametric equivalent test of T-sample test was used in SPSS software.
Findings: The results of the data analysis showed that teachers, parents and librarians were involved in teaching students information literacy skills, and the role of teachers was more colorful than the role of librarians. Parents also played less of a role than teachers and librarians. Also, the average information literacy of students was higher than the average.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that librarians, although they are experts in teaching information literacy skills, but their role is less than the role of teachers in teaching these skills to students. This could highlight the vacancy of school libraries in schools. Because if there is a school library in schools by a specialized librarian. This librarian can teach both students and teachers these skills in a more specialized way.
