Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate thinking styles of staff's in Public Libraries Foundation and its relation with entrepreneurship traits.
Methodology: The research method was applied in terms of purpose and in terms of data collection methods was correlation. The population of the research is the staff of the Public Libraries and information. Data collection tools were Sternberg-Wagner thinking styles (1999) and Entrepreneurship traits questionnaire. In order to study the validity of the tool in terms of the number of components and semple size, in addition to content analysis, a confirmatory factor analysis was used with Lisrel software that evaluation of fitting indices confirmed that the research instruments have been constructive.The collected data were analyzed by SPSSv.22 in both descriptive and inferential statistics(Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise regression).
Findings: The findings showed that the dominant thinking style among the staff is extraverted thinking. All styles of thinking, with the exception of introverted thinking, had a positive relationship with the entrepreneurship traits of staff.
Conclusion: Stepwise regression analysis showed that among the components of TS, (31.6) percent of the change in creativity is explained by liberal and judicial thinking. Also, (43.5) percent of the risk taking are explained by liberal, judiciary and legislator thinking. The findings of the research also showed that (24.6) percent of the changes in the internal control are explained by the judicial and extraverted thinking, (38.0%) of the changes in willingness are explained by liberal and judicial thinking, (18.6%) of the changes in independence component are explained by introverted thinking, (21.2%) of the variation of ambiguity tolerance in the level of 99 is significant and the calculated beta value is 0.460.
