Objective: The emergence and spread of mass media in the society, economic variables has changed. One of the key economic variables, the level of employment in society. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) can alter the occupational system. This applies to all countries, including Iran stems. Since employment is one of the major topics of discussion in this country, The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of ICT on employment and labor productivity in the economy.
Results: In this paper After identifying the important effect of ICT on employment and labor productivity in Iran Using econometric modeling techniques and estimation and time series data to be analyzed. Pattern of co-integration techniques and mechanisms through error correction using time series data (93-1350) is estimated.
Conclusion: The results indicate that the information and communication technology in the short term, negative effect on employment and labor efficiency concerns itself in the long run this will be a positive effect. The effect of information technology on productivity in the long-term skilled labor, unskilled labor, positive and negative.
